8:45 BBCelebrate! Early Worship*
A high-energy worship opportunity; unique elements include a praise band, video projection, and a children’s sermon. We have activity bags for kids to do during the service. We also have a nursery for children preschool and younger during this service.
10:00 Sunday School*
Classes for children of every age with engaging, exciting lessons! The children’s Sunday school classes are located on the second floor, and the nursery is available on the main floor.
11:00 Traditional Worship*
A classic expression of worship that many parents remember from their own childhoods; unique elements include a choir, organ music, and a “Passing the Peace” time of greeting.
*Nursery care available for children from infant to Pre-K. Extended care is offered in the nursery for children through first grade during the 11am service. (though children not yet in Kindergarten are welcomed and encouraged to participate in activities outside of the nursery)
6:00 Fellowship Meal
A meal for the entire church family to share together that alternates weekly between catered and covered dish.
6:45 Back-Pack Pals
Just after the fellowship meal, the children and youth come together to pack bags for local elementary school students.
7:00 Lessons & Music (Rotation)
Each week children rotate between learning more about faith and having fun through music.
On the Sunday after VBS, the children of BBC lead us in worship, taking on almost all of the responsibilities of the 8:45 and 11:00 services. On this special day, children offer our prayers, take our offerings, read our Scripture, provide our music, and much, much more!
Vacation Bible School
What would a children’s ministry be without VBS?! Every year, we transform a week of the summer into a fun-filled adventure of learning more about Jesus. Learn more about this year’s theme here!
Family Fun Nights
We’re a family at BBC and we try and get our family together for some fun—and children, of course, play a central role!
Trips and Outings
BBC kids know how to have a good time away from church, too! That’s why we like to keep fun trips and outings on the calendar. We’ve been plenty of places—like the pool, the bowling alley, the movies, Campbell basketball games—and we’re gonna go to plenty more!
Parents’ Night Out
Sometimes parents need a breather. A time or two each year, we try to give them that by hosting a Parents’ Night Out—an evening where parents can drop their kids off at church, where they will be cared for and fed by loving volunteers, so that mom and dad can have some time to themselves!
Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Bunny comes early to BBC, scattering eggs all over the church lawn on the Sunday before Easter. It takes every boy and girl of every age to help us pick them all up!
Lighthouse Parade and Trunk or Treat
On the Sunday before Halloween, children come to church in their costumes, pulling behind them decorated cardboard boxes with images cut out. A light shines in each box, demonstrating our call from Jesus to shine for him! We parade our boxes for several blocks around the church, then return to the parking lot for Trunk or Treat, where adults in the church decorate their car trunks and hand out much-deserved treats!
A BBC tradition, children of every age love joining us one Sunday each December in traveling to different members’ houses singing carols. All that singing makes us pretty hungry, of course, so we always come back to church for a Christmas meal afterwards!
