Beginning on Ash Wednesday, Lent is a season of reflection and preparation before the celebrations of Easter. By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians replicate Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days. Lent is marked by fasting, both from food and festivities.

Join us for events for kids, youth, and adults as we journey toward Easter together this February-April.

Holy Week Stations of the Cross

March 28-April 2 we’ll have stations set up around our Fellowship Hall that depict Jesus’ journey toward the cross. Each station features imagery, scripture, and reflections (for adults and children) to aid in connecting with Jesus in powerful ways.

The stations will be available:

  • March 28 – 12pm-3pm
  • March 29-March 31- 9am-6pm
  • April 1 – 9am-7pm
  • April 2 – No longer available this day

Holy Week Labyrinth

March 28-April 2 you’re invited to come to the church to walk an indoor prayer labyrinth that will be set up in our Fellowship Hall. A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness in Christ. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path. The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own center in Christ and back again out into the world. As you journeying in and out, you are invited to spend time in prayer, resting in the center of the labyrinth to listen for God’s voice in your prayers.

The labyrinth will be available:

  • March 28 – 12pm-3pm
  • March 29-March 31- 9am-6pm
  • April 1 – 9am-7pm
  • April 2 – No longer available this day
