What Does Benson Baptist Look Like Outside of the Pandemic?

As with most things in our community right now, things have been altered due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. As a guest of BBC, you might be wondering: “what does Benson Baptist look like when we’re not navigating something like this?”

Below you’ll find what our weekly schedule looks like and an idea of what kinds of things we do as we seek to follow Christ together –– when we don’t have to distance!


  • 8:45 AM – Contemporary Worship Service (Fellowship Hall)
  • 9:45 AM – Church-wide Breakfast (Fellowship Hall)
  • 10:00 AM – Sunday School (Classes for all ages)
  • 11:00 AM – Traditional Worship Service (Sanctuary)
  • 5:00 PM – Music Hour (Generally: handbell choir)
  • 6:00 PM – Youth Group (Fellowship Hall)

  • 6:00 PM – Church-wide Fellowship Dinner (Fellowship Hall)
  • 7:00 PM – Adult Small Group (Topical study or Bible study)
  • 7:00 PM – Children’s Small Group/Youth Group Hangout)
  • 8:00 PM – Choir Practice (Choir Room)

Other Missions and Ministry Events

  • Backpack Buddies – We partner with Benson Elementary School to ensure kids who need it have food each weekend. (Currently Happening)
  • BAMA Food Pantry – Each quarter we work with the Benson Area Ministerial Association to staff their food pantry that serves Benson and the surrounding towns (Currently Happening)
  • Fellowship Meals – We love to eat and have all kinds of fellowship meals throughout the year. Some of those gatherings include:
    • Senior Adult Banquets
    • Super Bowl Chili Cook-off
    • Men’s Ministry Oyster Roast
    • Youth Camp Fundraisers
  • Family Fun Days – We gather as a church family each month on a Sunday afternoon for fun and food.
  • Mission Trips and Events – We serve locally and abroad together.
  • Church-Wide Retreat – A chance to get away for rest and spiritual growth together.
