Tayor Long, CBF Summer Ministry Intern

taylor@bensonbaptist.org | EXT. 26

  • Campbell University, Christian Studies major (Pursuing)
Taylor is a rising Senior Christian Studies major at Campbell University and will be joining us for 10 weeks this summer through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Student.Church internship program.

Taylor will focus mainly on the areas of children and youth, but will also work with other staff as she explores her call to ministry and possibilities in congregational work.

Here’s a short bio from Taylor:

My hometown is Clayton, NC but my second home for the past few years has been Buies Creek where I am a senior Christian Studies major at Campbell University (go camels!). At the age of 12, I committed to following Jesus and have been walking with him ever since. I love sports especially gymnastics, baseball, and soccer. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, going on walks, and eating good ice cream with friends! I am excited to serve and learn from Benson Baptist this summer as we love God and neighbor together!

Whitney Creech, Nursery Coordinator

  • Sampson Community College, Certificate in Early Childhood Education
My name is Whitney Creech and I am so happy to be joining the Benson Baptist Nursery. To share a little about myself I will start by saying family is so very important to me. I am a mom of 3 wonderful children and a sweet puppy dog. I love spending time with my family, going on walks with my dog, cooking, and running my Pampered Chef business. I dont have a lot of free time, but when I do get a little time to just myself I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts or spending time in nature going on a long walk or visiting a new walking trail.

We are fairly new to this area and look forward to building new relationships for myself and my family and can’t wait to serve the other families I will be meeting at Benson.

Debbie Champagne, Administrative Assistant

debbie@bensonbaptist.org | EXT. 21

If a church is only as good as its Administrative Assistant, then Benson Baptist is in good shape!

A military veteran, mother, and grandmother, Debbie has embodied the word “service” all of her life.  She has demonstrated that embodiment at Benson Baptist for over twenty years by attending to the needs of anyone who might call or stop by her office.

Debbie’s selflessness is rooted in her own faith in the God who selflessly loves us, and every person who graces the door of Benson Baptist is blessed because of it.

River T. Otter, Associate Minister of Children’s Sermons

River came on staff at BBC in September 2020 to help us with Children’s Sermons for Sunday mornings and to work with our BBC Kids ministry.

River loves to splash, build, and play with toys. He’s got an imagination that rivals everyone and is always found having a blast no matter the situation.

River lives down by the river in his Den where he has built many rooms himself. He loves to travel.
