Mid-Summer Worship Experiment Results
Thank you to the 32 individuals who completed the mid-summer survey released by our Deacons. Overall, the congregation feels that:
Our Ministerial staff met in their most recent staff meeting and, using these results, will be making some important changes for the remainder of our summer blended service such as:
Note: Due to the limited number of Sundays left in the summer schedule, we will not be combining the Praise Team and Choir for pieces at this time. This idea was popular in the survey results and we hope to be able to do this more as we gather for Unity services post summer experiment!
- The service is a good blend of contemporary and traditional,
- The 10:00 A.M. hour is a good time to gather,
- Things are going well with the service so far!
Our Ministerial staff met in their most recent staff meeting and, using these results, will be making some important changes for the remainder of our summer blended service such as:
- The Words of Preparation and Call to Worship will now be combined together as one call to worship. Some services the Call to Worship will be a read liturgy and some it will be call and response.
- We're updating the doxology a little, the tune will remain the same (OLD 100th):
- Praise God from whom all blessings flow,
- Praise God, all creatures here below,
- Praise God above ye heavenly host,
- Praise Creator, Christ, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
- The Anthem and Offertory will now be combined into one piece with the anthem being the offertory.
- We will be adding additional Scripture reading into the service and would love to have congregants read! Let us know if you're willing to be a part of worship this summer!
Note: Due to the limited number of Sundays left in the summer schedule, we will not be combining the Praise Team and Choir for pieces at this time. This idea was popular in the survey results and we hope to be able to do this more as we gather for Unity services post summer experiment!
